Development Audit
Our Development Audit reveals your organization’s strengths, resources, and challenges and informs the comprehensive fundraising plan we create in partnership with your organization. The Fitz Team will gather data to inform the fundraising plan through consultation with your organization’s board and staff members, key advisors, current and potential donors and community members. We utilize this data to gain information about the fundraising potential of your organization and to identify and craft key fundraising initiatives to implement in order to increase revenues and fundraising success. Additional hands-on management for the duration of your fundraising efforts beyond the initial assessment and plan is also available.
Development Audit Outcomes
- Assessment of each giving category: annual fund, special events, individual major donors, corporate, foundations, planned giving, and donor relations
- Identification of top potential major donors through interviews and wealth screening

Fundraising Plan
A comprehensive fundraising plan created by the Fitz Team is customized to your organization's strengths and resources, resulting will significantly increased fundraising income as well as identify sustainable sources of ongoing income.
- Meet with your organization's key stakeholders (board, donors, advisors) to gain additional input about the organization’s current fundraising efforts as well as identify additional fundraising opportunities
- Customized fundraising templates and tools
- Create timeline, strategy, draft of the letter, donation card, segmented mailing list for implementation of year end direct mail efforts
- Create a Gala timeline, event budget, invitation wording, gala committee description, list of potential members, sponsorship levels, list of corporations, auction item letter, day-of timeline, event program, and script.
- Create a pitch deck for a specific program or project
- Develop a comprehensive stewardship plan including best practices and appropriate acts of gratitude for each donor
- Develop the a development budget
- Develop long-range personnel plan for development department by identifying the needed key staff members and their roles and responsibilities to successfully execute fundraising efforts
